The Calypso Bookshop Blog
Hello everone.
This is the new blog for the Calypso Online Bookshop. We shall be adding all new books in as they arrive and listing shortages and wants .
We have found over the years that many people are reluctant to use online shopping sites which demand you supply them with all sorts of details and data before you can order anything from them. You may never know where this information eventually lands up or whether you will receive vast amounts of spam as a result of supplying such material to the site. In any event purely as a security measure you should always be very careful putting anything online as it can more or less never be removed.
We decided with our bookshop not to collect or ask for any unecessary or prying personal data or customer information and this has proved to be very very popular. All of our financial transactions are in partnership with PayPal and so are totally secure and we keep old fashioned paper records of customers' addresses if required but only after they have ordered. So, our site is both open and secure at the same time.
